I ran into my friend Heston in the temple today. He was pondering how to have an “anchor” in his life, and cited this scripture:
“Wherefore, whoso believeth in God might with surety hope for a better world, yea, even a place at the right hand of God, which hope cometh of faith, maketh an anchor to the souls of men, which would make them sure and steadfast, always abounding in good works, being led to glorify God.” (Ether 12:4)
I heard HWN today in our discussion of how our faith in and efforts to follow Christ create an anchor to withstand the storms of life!
I also got to bowl with Emily again today :) And I got my high score in a while: 147! Emily and I both had shots at a Turkey with 2 strikes in a row… And if you combined our scores from the second game, taking the best of our two bowls from each frame, we would have broken 200!
