This morning I read Mosiah 13 – 15 and was impressed by Abinadi’s integrity and courage in talking with King Noah and his priests. He tells them several times things such as:
“I perceive that it cuts you to your hearts because I tell you the truth concerning your iniquities.” (Mosiah 13:7)
“I perceive that ye have studied and taught iniquity the most part of your lives.” (Mosiah 13:11)
I admire Abanidi’s audacity as he told those with the power to kill him the painful truth of their hypocrisy. His ability to do this was explained in an earlier verse:
“And he spake with power and authority from God.” (Mosiah 13:6)
I heard HWN this morning reflecting on Abinadi’s example of acting on impressions given by the Spirit, allowing him to speak with power and authority!
p.s. I enjoyed hanging out with my friend LeRoy this evening at Happy Sumo and the Riverwoods :)
