This last week was pretty busy, and ended with a busy but rejuvenating weekend! My HWN was the opportunity to be with my siblings, parents, and nieces for the weekend :) Emily and I flew from Salt Lake to Long Beach on Friday…
Seeing palm trees as one of the first things off the plane was so refreshing!
Our dad picked us up and took us out to Chipotle on the way home :) Then on Saturday, we visited our Grandma :)
And went to the beach! :) It was a beautiful day with beautiful people! The water was even fairly warm :)
Matt surprised us in the evening — he made it home in time to go out to dinner with us :) And come to the farewell on Sunday.
On Sunday, Jenny gave a wonderful talk and our friend Desiree sang during sacrament meeting :) I was in the back of the chapel, so I didn’t get the best audio quality, but you can listen to them here:
The rest of Sunday, we took pictures, and hosted family and friends for a luncheon and then an open house — from about 1:00 to 10:00 pm. Honestly, it was exhausting! but fun to see so many friends :)
Emily, my dad, and I woke up at 5:00, so dad could drive us to the airport. We made it safely back to Utah :) This evening, I also caught a couple ducks on camera near the river at Lion’s Park after FHE.
