I heard described today how difficult it is for someone to recover after surgery restoring sight. Not only do the eyes need to function properly, but the brain needs to be able to interpret the data. Passages like this from Christ’s life came to mind:
“And Jesus stood, and commanded him to be brought unto him: and when he was come near, he asked him, saying, What wilt thou that I shall do unto thee? And he said, Lord, that I may receive my sight. And Jesus said unto him, Receive thy sight: thy faith hath saved thee. And immediately he received his sight, and followed him, glorifying God: and all the people, when they saw it, gave praise unto God.” (Luke 18:40-43)
Christ’s miracles are even more miraculous, when you consider how much needed to take place in the nervous system in order for many of them to work! It’s similar when you think about how long it takes someone to relearn to walk after a paralyzing accident, and yet Christ caused the lame to stand up and walk in an instant!
I heard HWN today gaining a greater understanding of Christ’s miraculous miracles!
Also, I got to go bowling with Em tonight :) Our third game was (free) on the lane next to us where 4 people left without using their second credit. I was Kandy and Moze, and Emily was White and Mlee. My scores got better every time :) And Emily ended up with a high of 143!
