In priesthood today, we discussed Truly Good and Without Guile from the most recent conference. Elder Ringwood taught that:

The service that counts most is usually recognized by God alone.

Naturally, we desire to be recognized for service we render. When we truly understand our identity as children of God, however, we realize our worth is independent from our acts, the importance of social validation diminishes, and service becomes part of who we are rather than who we hope others see.

I heard HWN today through a greater understanding of service :)
