Most of my day was spent at the ATSA conference (the actual reason I’m in Montreal), learning about measurement tools for risk of recidivism — this will be very helpful indeed!
Somewhere in the day, I found an hour for a break inside the nearby Mary, Queen of the World Church. What a place!
It was humbling (my HWN today) to sit inside this building in prayer where people have been praying for about 120 years! I felt a connection with their devotion and sincerity! At one point, I ended up being the only individual in the church (outside of the priest on candle duty). A great time for self-reflection and divine communication :)
After finishing at the conference, I went for a walk and found myself once again at the Notre-Dame Basilica — one of my favorite places here. More great time for pondering, reflection, and mindfulness :) And check out what I discovered as I sat there… Some type of filter on the street lamp created this cool design below.
