Absolutely innocent Savior

I heard HWN today in reviewing Elder Renlund’s talk from conference. These couple sentences in particular impressed me today:

Nephi must have recognized that life would be the most unfair for Jesus Christ. Though absolutely innocent, the Savior would suffer the most. The closer we are to Jesus Christ in the thoughts and intents of our hearts, the more we appreciate His innocent suffering, the more grateful we are for grace and forgiveness, and the more we want to repent and become like Him.

In general, the closer we are to someone, the easier it is to be grateful for them and things they do. And this is surely true for Jesus Christ as well!

p.s. I also saw me good friend Lisa Kell again tonight for the first time in 3 years or so :) So fun! And I’m flying to New York tomorrow where I’ll be staying with her family!
