How do we submit our will to God? This was the topic of the addiction recovery class today. These words from Christ help me express one of the main things I learned…

“[Jesus] kneeled down, and prayed, saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done” (Luke 22:41–42).

Even when his own natural desire was different, Christ’s submission to Heavenly Father’s was evident through what He decided.  This gives me hope! I often don’t naturally want what God wants for me; however, I can nevertheless choose His will over mine :)

I heard HWN today through a better understanding of how to be submissive.
