Unmet expectations often lead to frustration… This morning, I planed to finish several things before work, beginning with a hair cut. I checked in online and arrived early, but the system mistakenly allowed 2 appointments at the same time :( The other person had arrived earlier than me, and I got to wait.  So much for the morning plans…

I ended up watching a short video during my wait. Here’s one of the quotes from Elder Bednar:

Sometimes we mistakenly may believe that happiness is the absence of a load. But bearing a load is a necessary and essential part of the plan of happiness… As we are yoked with Him through sacred covenants and receive the enabling power of His Atonement in our lives… we will be blessed with spiritual traction.

In this context, my wait was a “load” (testing my patience and flexibility) to bless me with “spiritual traction” (developing patience and flexibility).

I heard HWN today through this opportunity to grow :)
