The lame to walk and the blind to see

Emily took me out to Zupas as a birthday present I redeemed today, and I took her to see A Christmas Carol for her birthday next week. A fun sibling date indeed :)

One part of the play that brought me to tears (my HWN today), was Tiny Tim’s attitude in church, described by his father:

“And how did Tim behave?” asked Mrs. Cratchitt… “As good as gold,” said Bob, “and better. Somehow he gets thoughtful, sitting by himself so much, and thinks the strangest things you ever heard. He told me, coming home, that he hoped the people saw him in church, because he was a cripple, and it might be pleasant to them to remember, upon Christmas Day, who made lame beggars walk, and blind men see.”

What an exemplary attitude of a disciple of Christ and good reminder of recognizing Christ in others around us!Christmas Carol

p.s. Jeremy and I enjoyed watching our cousins play in their basketball tournament tonight, followed by Lone Peak vs Miller Grove (from Georgia) — each with a top 25 player on the roster. The game came down to the final 10 seconds, where Lone Peak pulled ahead by two! Great game!
