Yesterday in Sunday School the teacher asked how we’d respond if Christ walked into the classroom — how we’d feel, what we’d think, or what we’d do. I heard HWN while pondering this question…
I imagined feeling awe, respect, love, and a desire to serve. And I remembered that Christ said:
“Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.” (Matthew 25:40)
and…
“Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.” (Matthew 25:45)
Does this mean I should interact with others based on these same feelings… because interacting with them is in a way interacting with Christ?
Why shouldn’t I feel awe, respect, love, and a desire to serve when I meet strangers or interact with people I see every day? I think that would change my life in a pretty dramatic way.
p.s. Paul and I got front row seats to the BYU ballroom dance concert last Saturday. Amazing!
