Well — He knows me

Another post about Narnia… :)

In the Voyage of the Dawn Treader, Eustace spent the beginning of his journey complaining, avoiding work, and acting selfishly, all while claiming to be altruistic. He later had a life-changing experience…

“Sleeping on a dragon’s hoard with greedy, dragonish thoughts in his heart, he had become a dragon himself.”

Even after trying to change and shed the dragon skin himself, it was Aslan who finally healed him. Eustace, however, didn’t know it was Aslan until Edmund pointed it out to him later. He was intrigued at how Edmund knew, and asked…

“But who is Aslan? Do you know him?”

“Well—he knows me.”

Pondering Eustace’s question is a great use of time! … However, today I heard HWN today in pondering Edmund’s answer. I also know that Christ knows me :) And perfectly! So many uncertainties arise in life, but this is one thing I can be certain about! He knows me.
