Countertransference

First some context for my post… countertransference is: “the emotional reaction of the analyst to the subject’s contribution” (google) or “complex feelings of a psychotherapist toward the patient” (Merriam-Webster). It’s how I react internally and externally to those I’m working with.

Sometimes I experience countertransference towards clients, and it’s hard to remain objective (not that that’s ever really possible, but I try). I heard HWN today in the Lord helping in my efforts to see clients as He does and through my coworker’s willingness to process through the countertransference with me.
